Kate kicked off her hospitality career in college with a job at a barbecue restaurant in Orange, Virginia. After graduating, Kate moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she earned a degree in Commercial Baking and worked at various casual concepts ranging from a vintage soda fountain to a tiki bar. In 2015, Kate moved to New York, where she has honed her management and bar skills at both Blue Smoke and Porchlight, as well as contributed to Union Square Hospitality Group’s beer education program.

Now, as General Manager of Cedric’s, Kate and her team offer warm hospitality and cold drinks to Shed visitors and neighborhood locals alike.
